Mark started in radio when he was just two years old. His first words weren't “Mommy” or “Daddy”, rather, “testing - testing, one two – one two.”
Convinced their son was a radio prodigy, his parents sent him to William Paterson University in Wayne, New
Jersey, where he hosted his first official radio show. In 1988, Mark interned at WPIX, which later evolved into CD 101.9.
Mark is an exuberant radio host, dedicated to injecting personality into his role as an on-air personality. He's the talk show host of CD101.9's Dialogue, former Creative Director of CD 101.9. Surely you've noted its unique and captivating sound. He's produced thousands of CD 101.9 promos, ya know that really compelling audio that leaves you mesmerized, as well as specialty shows, commercials, national spots and movie trailers, for big shot clients – really.
Mark has mixed audio for CD101.9 live concert broadcasts of Grover Washington Jr., Spyro Gyra, David Sanborn, Kenny G., Dianne Reeves, George Benson, Chuck Mangione, Dave Koz, Bobby Caldwell and dozens more in legendary New York City venues.
Mark emcees concerts, in exchange for great seats, and hosts numerous sporting events. Mark appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, and NY 1 as a guest speaking on various special topics.
Mark is visually impaired (bad eyes = very good ears) and devotes his spare time to helping the disability rights movement. Mayor Michael Bloomberg recognized him for his mentoring efforts at the People with Disabilities National Disability Mentoring Day reception. The Mayor also spoke about one of his favorite weekend rituals, rising at 6 on Sunday mornings to listen to Mark's show.
Mark competes in triathlons, biathlons, and marathons. He's also the proprietor of Profound Sound, a mobile music/dj company. His passions include traveling, reading, carpentry, and music – all types!
