Amy McLane
Amy McLane comes to New York from Central Pennsylvania where
she has worked as a broadcaster for the last 23 years in a
variety of music formats and as a News Anchor / Reporter.
Although new to CD101.9, Amy is no newcomer to the jazz genre
as she was an award-winning improvisational flute soloist
in High School and in 1997 had the opportunity to perform
at Carnegie Hall. She has studied with and participated in
Master classes with internationally -acclaimed flautist Julius
Baker and looks forward to participating in some jazz workshops
in NYC as time allows. Amy is currently completing her Master's
degree. During the week, Amy works as a college English instructor.
In her desire to give back to the community, she volunteers
as a bedside musician to the terminally ill and actively dying
in a ministry called Songs for the Journey.
